Yerg Tools was founded by James Thomas, an internationally awarded industrial designer, engineer, and product developer. Inspired by the late Bruce “Yergy” Yergenson—a moral beacon, loving father, and the original creator of several Yerg Tool product designs—James set out to bring innovative, precision-crafted tools to the global market.

Bruce’s son, Miles Yergenson, has been operating a millwork and casework installation business for over 30 years. Taught the art of woodworking by his father at a young age, Miles has created working samples of numerous tools, fixtures, and jigs, along with unique installation methods and techniques that have shaped the Yerg Tools product line.

Before founding Yerg Tools, James served as Lead Design Engineer for Ross Reels and Able Reels, both highly respected outdoor sports brands. His award-winning designs earned him international recognition and a reputation for innovation and quality.
